So....looking at houses.....is Mt. Clemens still worth considering?

Hey guys, so we've just moved back to Michigan after being gone since 2006 and we're looking to buy a home.

For lots of unfortunate reasons we're looking to stay more in the city instead of moving towards Armada or north.

So for best bang for the buck as far as yard size, house size and nice neighborhoods I'm trying to remember all the nice places and thought of the Clem. Is it even with looking at? Are there still nice places or is it all poop ? Price wise trying to really watch monies and stay around 100k - 125k I can go up, but really am trying to force myself into this range.

Thanks in advance

I am in the process of purchasing a house in Mt Clem. It is by the hospital. The prices there are pretty good, the area is great as well as the neighbors. Do you have a cross road/location idea?

If you can stay around the Harrington/Wellington Crescent area you are in some older houses but they have nice yards. Our house is about 1200 sq ft. The lot is something like 60x200 (give or take a bit).

OK great, thanks for that info.

Are there any "absolutely not" areas?

I'm married and we have 2 kids, a 13 & 12 year old

Let me know if I can be of any help. Feel free to call me 7 days a week. 313-701-2771

Thx, Steve n

Consider H.Township right next door to the Clem if you are looking for some decent lot sizes and garage space.
