So, Life really can suck sometimes...

Those of you that know me know how my life has been recently, and know that I am upbeat 95% of the time, and the other times im just so-so, but rarely gloomy.

So let us recap the past 7 days:

Wed. My Father passed away unexpectedly @ age 52, no will, and he kept all of his financial stuff in his head.

Thur. just more dealing with what happened wed.

Friday, went to work, and had an OK day

Saturday, first Day of viewing for my dad.

Sunday, 2nd day of viewing, it went alot better, primarily because of some co-workers driving a long way to comfort me.

Monday, funeral/burial VERY rough day for me

Today, I started the day hoping it would be one that I could just try to deal with things, and help others deal with things. This obviously was not part of God's plan today:

I walked downstairs to examine why my water heater seemed to not be working only to find about 6" of standing water in my semi-finished basement, ruining 70% of my kids toys (the finished portion was their toy room) a pretty nice matress, a sleeper-sofa, and all kinds of other things.

Add to this My wife has been student teaching and is months away from completing her classes for this. She got news today that they were relocating her to another school because they suspect some one from her group of Student teachers to be stealing from the school. To not single anyone out, they are moving all of the student teachers to different schools. This isn't that big of a deal to most, but she also did her "observations" in this same classroom. So basically she has spent the entire school year with the same group, and the others have only spent 11 weeks w/ theirs. She loved this class, and the teacher she worked with.

Now just to put some icing on the cake I called my Mother, just to find out her basement is flooding as well...

I guess I just was not meant to have an OK week....

When it rains, it poors.
I am sorry to hear about your rough week, it really puts things into perspective. Reading all of this makes my "bad days" not seem so bad at all.

I hope things look up for you very soon.

Andy just remember there is a reason for everything. Maybe this is meant to test your resolve. Just keep your head up.

Sorry to hear the bad news... hang in there. BTW, if you need some kids toys to replenish, let me know - I'm getting ready to clean out or basement. Some of the stuff is pretty much new and never played with. Better it go to someone who can use it instead of the garbage.

RIP to your father. He is looking down on you right now to see how you are handling all the pressure. Now you have to show him what you learned from him.

Sorry to hear Andy, I know you guys were close. Dealing with loss is something I have always sucked at, so all I can say is hang in there, and be thankful for what you have.

Yes Andy it does at times. I'm sorry to hear of
your father dyeing at such a young age. I recently
lost my 44 year old brother, we lost our dad when
I was 8 years old. So I know man, it hurts.

Never underestimate the power of prayer.

life can be really sweet and really tough. to understand joy you have to expirence pain. Just remember that when life is tough be tougher.

I wish you and your family the best.
