So I Traded For a GTP

I traded my 94 cobra for a 99GTP. I got so sick of pushing a clutch in stop and go traffic on M59 in rush hour, plus I wanted something safer for the winter that could haul the family around with a little more space. It's so nice to sit in a heated seat, with HUD, and not push in a clutch.

Oh one more thing, it is modded and an absolute sleeper that has hurt some ego's of a few V8's already.

Switch the headlights back to stock...they suck in the dark, even with HIDs. When I switched my GTP back to the stock lights, it was like a whole new world out there :lol:
 
you have a Gen. V blower on there as well, much more efficient than the stock M90. i just dropped mine off to have a new motor and blower installed.

that car is deff. good for 12s. i went 13.1 with a stock blower, stock cam, and a 3.2 pulley.
 
Switch the headlights back to stock...they suck in the dark, even with HIDs. When I switched my GTP back to the stock lights, it was like a whole new world out there :lol:

That is the first thing I'm going to do. I use my fog lights to compensate but I keep getting flashed.

Thanks, I thought it was but I wasn't sure. Being a Ford guy my whole life I've still got a ton to learn about these cars.

The HID bulbs are fine, its just the lenses you should change. The black ones do look nice, but they make the light output much lower than stock. Grand Prix headlights suck to begin with from the factory, but changing them to HIDs in the stock lenses helps considerably ;).

I know, beleive me I know, first time in 18 years I don't have a mustang sitting in my driveway. I'll get another just needed a change, and I didn't want to drive the cobra through winter she deserves to be stored. We did some downsizing from 3 cars to 2 so I needed something to seat 5.
 
clean car........... i have some goo gone you can borrow to remove the boy racer stickers from under the hood
 
My old GTP went 12.3 with similar mods minus the cam ( I had a stock cam w/1.9 rockers), and a port and polished stock M90 vs the Gen V. This was on drags. Biggest warning I can give you is the transmission, I had many issues and mine was built.
 
I had a stock 98 2 door GTP that went 14.25@99MPH with a 2.3 60ft. I sold it to a friend and he had me chang the pulley and it went slower. Ran 15's. Not sure why. It was only one step smaller. The car was a rocket on the street though, just slower at the track.
