What pressure is a good starting point for the street? It's for my mustang. The car is just over 500rwhp. Any help is appreciated.
14-18 psi
Thanks! Someone told me 10-12 and it didnt work too well. I thought it should hook HARD the slicks are 28x12.5's and it's got a pretty decent suspension setup.
yeah i wore the slicks out on the street one night and they were no better. they actually were worse because the gravel would stick to them and youd be trying to launch on gravelly tires, and im not gonna clean them off and do a burnout at every light. I have my best luck on the street with Nittos or BFG DR'sSlicks will hook great at 10-12 psi on a prepped track, but on a roadway they are no better than a good drag radial. Actually if you plan to race with them at the track you will quickly ruin them driving on the street.

Bias ply tires suck on the street. Period. Put a M/T drag radial on it and be done
i run the et drag with 10lbs on the street..do a good burn out and i have no problems..even pull a tire on the street..and i got stock 4banger suspension.. thats of course with a good burnout in vht and backing up into my marks
