Silverado v4/v8 mode

With all of the good tuners around here for gods sake don't get a handheld. Is it a 2014 Old Body Style or the new DI motor?

This is why I always lean towards the Autocal box. Lots of great local tuners around for EFI live.I just like the Autocal box so I can remove a tune or have 3 different tunes stored on it.

With the Diablo unit you are unable to actually "tune" your truck. I/we do not have access to the software needed to re write tables, maps, timing, ect. It just has pre canned tunes installed for you to select. A guy that works with Diablo has software to write anything he wants and install it on your handheld device through data logging and email. I'm sure he's not the only one to be able to do this.

Back to the search I go... lol

Moates for obd1 systems was ok, hp tuners was decent, DHP for limited use to GM obd2 worked well... and now no one seems to have anything close to it. Any recommendations?

Pre2014, unplug the brake vacuum sensor, leave the sensor in the booster or you will have a vacuum leak. . If the ECM can't see the sensor, the engine never goes to V4 mode. Yes you will likely get a light, but the mod is free. Add a cheap bluetooth code reader and App that can clear codes for $25 when you need to take it to the dealer. ....

Somebody smart with electronics might be able to tell you if a resistor in the 5v circuit would tell the ecm that vacuum is low l, and maybe you would not get a light at all, or maybe less often.

Its a 14 with a 16k miles on it. Between the shitty shifting trans, this v8/v4 garbage and a couple other things I want my ecoboost back

I barely feel the V8/V4 in my trucks, and tune into it really well. Do you have an aftermarket exhaust?

I have the exhaust just haven't installed it yet. Only owned the truck for 2 weeks and need to get it back into the shop to get this stuff figured out before I go adding warranty voiding add ons
