Silver Lake Sand dunes closing weekend....some wheels up action

Went up for the closing weekend of the dunes on Saturday. Friend of mine was also up with his YJ. My SBC with a single stage plate vs. his BBC with a 2 stage plate
He got the leave on the first race. This was taken right after my launch. I won this race, he was only on his first stage

Second race... we had a flagman and he was on both stages. I had to get out of it twice due to it going up and left, still won

This one we were just having fun letting it ride. I'm trying to get all the pictures from the person that took them, as there are others and they are all good quality.

Scoops a lot better than the 2000's??

I want to see that thing on Schuss Mountain next year! :) Bring some superswampers too!

Honestly, I can't complain about the 20.00's. They have served me well and have taken down A LOT of other vehicles with scoops. I only ran the scoops this year because I had a little problem and have not had 4WD all year. I actually prefer the 20.00's because people don't expect a "typical" looking Jeep without scoops to run like it does. And damn, do those scoops throw sand everywhere inside!
 
We went during a week in July and got hooked. What a blast! We just ran Jeeps over the dunes, but still had a lot of fun for the whole family. I wish I would have recorded this, but my wife tells me on the way home, " we should get a buggy for up here. It would be so much fun." Cool stuff!
