last time i talked to my dad he told me that on of his friends just got his nieces old 5.0 hatch Fox body mustang. i am a chevy guy by nature, but im quite tired of my POS-10, it supposedly has a 5.0 that was recently rebuilt, also the t-5 was recently rebuilt, it wouldn't be a hot rod, just an upgrade for my DD. it will probably stay stock except for an exhaust and headers, maybe a e303 cam, nothing too wild.

i have never seen the car, and the condition body and year is of unknown condition, so are miles. but its cheap. probably less than a grand.

my questions are this, what does a stock 87-93 stang get mileage wise?

any problems to watch out for (mechanically/electroncly) with cars of this type, besides the body rusting away.

and finally, will there be a filth i cant wash off for driving a blue oval product?
 
5 speeds are good on the gas, parts avalible every where, I have had a small block S truck, Malibu, a zepher now a fox. after beating my knucles to death on the S Truck, working on the mustng is a cake walk, no wonder why everyone has one! Torque boxes, K-members would be the first to check.
