Shorten 5 point shoulder Straps..

I've got RJS 5 point harnesses in my Truck and need to shorten the shoulder straps ?? is there a way to do this ? I remember seeing somewhere where they kinda folded the strap over itself then wrapped it mutiple times in electrical tape.. It dont need to hold up to hitting a wall at 120 but if i roll the truck (off road truck) id like for it to hold my ass in place and not revert back to full length..
