About 6 years ago I bought a Satellite Radio receiver. When I bought it, I purchased a lifetime contract with Sirius. I never have to paya monthly fee again. Well, when I was in the accident a year ago, my receiver was destroyed. I've not purchased a new one yet and was thinking about doing it. Though, I only drive less than a third of a mile to work each day, so I don't have to have it as I've done just fine without it for the last year. So I'm curious. Would anyone be interested in buying out my contract with Sirius? We can hammer out the details later, but the basics are:

I'll set the password to something generic on the account. You can then log in and change the password to whatever you want.


You'll have to buy a receiver and then activate that receiver. The cost to activate a new receiver is $100. You're then all set. You can access the account and change anything in it. So I'm curious if anyone is interested in this. If so, send me a price and let me know what you're willing to pay as I have no idea how much something like this is worth. The cost to buy the lifetime contract was 500.
 
I've done it twice and they've charged me 100 to transfer the signal. Never understood why. What are you offering for it? I still have to make sure the wife doesn't want this put in her car.
 
Im surprised that you'd even drive 1/3 mile to work...Seems like more harm then good...?
Interesting deal though, I'd be curious if you could swap that over to one of the cars that has Sirius equipped already? My Fusion has it already, but I let the 12 months deal go...

It can be transferred to any Satellite radio receiver. All you need is the ESN number which is probably in your manual.

Moneypit, I'll check with her to see what she wants. I know she wants a system put into her Envoy, so maybe she was thinking she'd get the satellite radio with it.
