School me on Galaxies

Anybody know anything about mid 60's galaxies? Looking to pick up a wagon. What are the things to look for other than the obvious like rust?

Buy a west coast or southern one..I've had a couple, but more than 20 years ago.....I still like them and they are boats...Don't buy one with a 6 cylinder as it'll be way underpowered.

grr

Wouldn't even consider a 6 cylinder. I would ideally like a 63 or 64 but they are harder to find. A few nice looking ones have popped up for sale but have sold before I got my mustang sold. 65 is the year they did a drastic body change.

I'm considering this one http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/cto/5616383931.html but not sure if I can tolerate the gold metal flake roof/ hood enough. But it close vs everything else I find 10+ hours away (or more)

I'm pretty sure I'm gettin a wagon after the house is sold and I'm moved. There's just to much cool factor not to.

For sure. Wagons are awesome. I had a '94 Caprice wagon and it started more conversations than any other car I've owned. Everybody from older people reminiscing about riding in the back to the younger crowd asking "what kind of car is that?"

The paint work you do is amazing, just not really my thing. A buddy told me I needed to go get it now because of the roof. lol

I know it's not for everyone, I was just bustin your balls. I think I might've narrowed the buying audience because of all the work I did on mine.

No he wont sell it, he love's that thing. He just bought some new wheels & had a new exhaust bent up for it. He was still able to find headers for it!
