SBC big block snout

How many people running small block Chevys with big block snout with f2 with out a crank support with no problem. Or is a crank support needed also

I know this is kind of an old post, but I found a few interesting pics. From what I've seen after tearing down a few SBC's running just D1 size blowers, I saw a lot of #1 bearing wear in the direction of the blower belt tension, so there is indication that the crank is bending about the main. While a BBC snout will keep add strength, the bearing wear would indicate a crank support would help keep the crank straight.

This pic is the #1 main on a 396 LT1 stroker running an D1. Hope this helps.
