I called Henry's Landing (campground) in scottville (1 town west of ludington) and talked to Henry. He's a great guy! He said this week would probably be real thick with Salmon. His campground is on the Pere Marquette River.

Next weekend I'm taking the truck, the flatbottom boat, fishing gear, tent, and the trolling motor and heading up north!

I have room if anyone wants to tag along... bring a tent.

I fish the pere marquette river in scotville. during the day I'm about a mile hike from the campground (hence the boat) and early morning and night I have my waiters on right from the campground.

last year I landed a few nice ones. a couple years back a friend and I brought back almost 100lbs in filets!

Me and my buddy are definatly going fishing this weekend, thanks for the heads up on location maybe we will see you there...

huh... I have a aluminum flat bottom 12' boat with a trolling motor w/ 30lbs thrust. do you think that is enough to go AGAINST the Pere marquette's Current?

I would want a 10 h.p. motor. The current isn't too strong on the P.M., but
I'm not sure a trolling motor is gonna cut it.

The place I fish is about a mile from the campground. hiking back there with the equipment isn't too bad, but coming back with everything AND a few fish is a PITA.

I know your pain. Have hiked up from sawdust hole on the Big Man. dragging
three many times. Part of the deal I suppose.
