I put a few slits in my wheel lips and tapped it with a hammer untill it rolled. It takes time and patients and many passes to get it rolled, but mine are nice and tight. I have a 10" wide rim with 27X11.50 hoosier QTP. The baseball bat is too uncontrollable. i used a 3 pound sledge and alot of time. Cuting the reliefs made it easier.

no need to cut releifs...

I had Todd at Reiters do mine. AWESOME work. Took him 15 minutes a side with a sledge...price was extremely reasonable. He rolled them from the 9 and 3 position too, from molding to molding, tight.

no need for reliefs, but it makes it easier for the lip wristed!

3lb hammer and 15-20min per side. did mine after the car was painted

I dunno everyone i've seen rolled withouth the reliefs were not as tight as mine...but maybe that's cuz of the limp wristed people who did them!?

i did mine with relief's and a body work hammer i still beed to go over with a 3 pounder its preety tight tho it wasnt hard eather

I'm gonna have to do this soon, just afraid of cracking the paint....seen methods that involve heating, and others who use a razor blade to just score the clearcoat to prevent cracking...what does reiters charge? If it is reasonable, might be worth it to have a metal guy do the work.
