I have a 12 hr road trip coming up soon. What are your favorite snack foods that you take with you?

This!

But on a legal note, Beef jerky, Monsters are a must for me. Anytime I even hop in the truck to drive down to the city or more than 30 mins I grab myself a low carb monster, Not sure what it is just gotta have one lol. Combos are always a great snack too.

Stop at Bommerito's Bakey in St. Clair Shores. Pick up a couple of their subs and a couple slices of pizza if you don't mind it cold. Keep in a plastic bag and pop it into a cooler with ice. The sandwiches will usually last two days before going soft.

Water. I enjoy being and feeling healthy and relatively thin :) If I need to eat there are always exits for food. I was fortunate enough to grab Panera in the middle of nowhere on my way to Chicago for new years. So much better than a burger and fries just brewing inside of me while I'm sitting in a car for hours.

Yea. I don't take snacks. I get food when I stop for gas and it's usually water and a granola bar or something.

Healthy would be nice. I was looking to pack a small cooler with somewhat healthy grub. However, I do dig those Jalapeno Cheddar combos!

I agree that the feeling of sitting for hours after eating a burger and fries sucks.

Homemade protein/meal replacement bars, granola bars or low-sugar protein bars, trail mix, that kinda stuff. And naturally low carb energy drinks as well. If I feel like it I'll grab a burger or something if I'm extra hungry while I stop for gas.

Cooler with turkey sandwiches is what I was going to say. Salty snacks = thirst = pee
