Review of the 2013 Scion FR-S

My brother in law just got his not too long ago. Very fun car to drive, It could use a turbo or something though kinda under powered. He is looking to sell his if you are looking for a deal on one.

I had an opportunity to test drive one a couple weeks ago. It's a fun little car for sure. Extremely nimble, great steering ratio and it was predictable in the corners. It could use more power but there will be aftermarket options for that. The only other thing I didn't care for was the clutch release, I'd prefer it to engage near the floor vs at the end of the pedals travel.

We'll see what happens but I might consider putting up my C5 Z06 for sale this summer, I miss my previous lighter 4 cyl turbo cars :)

I'm curious how well the stock motors will hold up with the turbo kits. A few have made big numbers but time will tell how long they last...

Here's another one... 521 whp on the stock motor. I haven't seen any 1/4 mile times for that car yet though.

Isn't there an sti version of the Subaru car coming out?
That is the rumor, I will be talking to Subaru at the Auto Show on Monday. As I say in the review, if it had 50 more horsepower and 100 more lb/ft of torque it would be great. It's the lack of torque (151 lb/ft) that is really the issue.

Not big & littles however a nice set of wheels, larger tires and a drop changes the look of these cars rather dramatically! At least in my opinion :)

There's been rumors of an STI version of the BRZ but nothing set in stone that I've seen.
There will be a TRD supercharger kit available soon which is likely the route Toyota will go. Someone could probably finance it in with the car if purchased new from the dealer.
