is there anyway to find out who the ip belongs to not just the internet provider??


tryin to help a friend out who has been getin shit from someone and we have a suspected ip, but were not sure if its there

thats it if anyone knows of a search they can run or ways to find info

That would belong to a Comcast Cable subscriber out of Van Buren MI. Know anyone out there?

So the only way to find out who is been using it is to check with the site if it's a forum.

Otherwise, since IPs are short term assigned by Comcast, you have to get the info from them because that's not a register fixed useage IP.

You are assuming that IP is the true source and not a compromised host.

The answer is no. You can try to subpeona the ISP, but then you have the same problem that mdhmi has - someone could be proxying through it.
