retro fit sbc roller ?

ok i have 73 sbc and the retro-fit sbc hyd roller lifters, i was wondering if i could run a factory roller sbc cam and just use a cam button and trust bearing with the newer style timing set ? to make up for the area were the normal lock plate would go ?

should be able to, call comp cams and speak to a tech adviser, but I think you would be ok doing this

you guy said that i mgiht have to just use a regular thrust plate and cut off the ears because a thurst bearing is to thick, and then jsut cut down a dowel button? this sound good ?
