Removing vinyl stripes

Hey all,

I'm looking to remove the vinyl stripes on my Mustang. What has worked best for y'all in the past...

hairdryer/scraper/acetone

GROG or other vinyl graphic remover solution

Any other ideas?

PS - How obvious would the paint fade be on a dark blue 2-year old car, daily driven, but garage kept nights/weekends/winters?

either pick a hot day and carefully remove them, try a hair dryer. Goo off has also worked in the past for me. paint fade will be difficult to determine there are many factors involved.

We use these plastic razor blades all the time. They take the sticker off and do not scratch the paint. Just use those and a little heat.

They should peel right off. Go slow, and at an almost parallel angel. Any residue left should come right off with a little wax and grease remover, or even mineral spirits on a microfiber. Wash it ater this step. Any (if any) paint fade could be taken care of a few ways. The easiest for you would be an off the shelf product. Meguiars Color X works well for this, and you can apply it like a wax.

Good luck and have fun!

EXTREMELY unlikely for there to be any noticeable paint fade. Just get a hair dryer or heat gun and worm them up as you pull them off. Should come off very easily.
