How much of a pain in the ass is it? Looking at a truck I want to buy and the wheels are plasti dipped and it looks like shit.

Any tips to getting it off?

I just used wd40 let it sit and it wipes right off, that's how I got it off my pony wheels pretty harmless to the wheels

I was just watching people do wheels with it and thinking that would be alot easier then polishing the wheels on my convertible.

Yes to the WD40, and let it soak. I wasted money on brake clean,
it did not work as well. I did use the car wash sprayer.

If at all possible, wait and do this project when its warmer out,
I believe that will help a lot.

Don't put brake cleaner on anything with paint. As Rickles said, the thicker it was put on the easier it is to peel off. If it doesn't come off easily by just pulling on it, use GooGone or a similar product. Make sure that you remove the wheels from the vehicle if you're going to use anything other than soap and water.
