Removing emblem residue

I have a 88 rx7 that is 97% original. the mazda emblem on the nose of the car is just a sticker that's faded and cracked, Ive tried to carefully scrape the emblem off using goo gone and a plastic razor blade but with no success. I have a heat gun but am afraid to warp the front fascia of the car, or melt/burn paint. any idea how to remove a 28 year old decal? thanks in advance!:icon_roll

I wouldnt use the 3m tool on a anything but metal. Bad news on a fascia. 3m adhesive remover. wd40 also works

fishing line or a piece of wire. wrap the ends around something and then saw the string back and forth under the emblem. once it's off goo gone and some elbow grease will take the adhesive off.

Won't break cleaner or gas be harsh on paint? I will give it a whirl when wife gets home in a little bit. thanks for your advice folks.
Honestly, as long as you rinse it off with water when finished, worst it will do is take the wax off, you will need to wax where the emblem was anyway

I've used the wd-40 before, and it worked decent. If I had a proper scraping utensil, it would of been even better. Will have to try out some of the other recommendations in here as well.
