removing chrome from rims???

I have somw lightning rims the chrome is pealing and I am tired of the leaks. I just want the remove all the chrome. Awhile back I was told by a powder coater that it has to been dips in some thing to remove it. So I need to know Where to go? Does anyone know?

X2 on sandblasting. I did some ponys they looked good when done.
