Looking to get an remote start system installed on my fiance's 2011 Ford Focus SES. Anybody here do that or know where I can get a good deal on getting one installed?

Check with the dealership. I have been told they have a plug and play system. That will avoid a crappy installer hacking your harness.

And the dealer will send it to the "crappy installer" to have it installed.

Charge your 4x the normal "crappy installer" price too

I got one for my girlfriend's car 5 years ago, I can't remember the name of the place, but it was at 23 & Hayes in Shelby Twp. They did a good job, it's been 5 years & no problems with it.

advanced auto and truck! they did one on my wifes jeep too, did a good job

Ford dealer wants almost $500.00 for kit and install. To me that's a little high and Id like to see other options. Ill check out advanced auto and truck and see what they are at. If its close to that price Ill just go to the dealer.

Im curious about the plug and play. If it just plugs into the harness and does not require programming, it might be worth saving the install fee and doing it yourself. The kits seem to run 200-300 bucks
