Remote oil Filter Kit??

Hi guys,

Finishing up a remote water pump install and have found out that I will need to go to a remote oil filter kit. Not a big deal at this point as it will free up some space in the area of the filter. I found a kit by Trans Dapt for about $50 at Jegs--so far so good. I go to the makers site and do a little more reading and see that they do NOT recommend it for racing. Even the one from FMS says the same thing. What do you guys use?? Is it a pressure rating of the hose or are they concerned about prolonged vibrations of circle track racing. confused

Any Help??

I used one from summit, but they are all pretty much the same, 2 npt taps and then holes for a mount with a thread for a oil filter.

They are not all the same.

Cast alum vs billet. BIG difference. I have Canton billet adapter and mount.
-10 fittings braided stainless hose.

I see that Milodon makes a kit with the braided line........are the billet mount/adapter REALLY necessary in a drag car?? I think that the Canton kit is over $300 and the Milodon is half of that.

I used a cheap one with a cast base years ago when I swapped a 302 in my Ranger. I believe it was a transdapt. The thing always did leak, maybe not the best thing for a race car.

I didn't buy a kit. Just the adapters. Had all the hose and fittings. I believe the motor adapter $80 from livernois and the filter side was $90 single filter.

I had to move my filter due to turbo headers.

I have the motorsport 90degree adapter if you want to try that. $30

I'll look to see if the 90' would work--Thanks!!

Hi Guys,

Decided to order the Canton billet block mount (90' rotatable), a Moroso filter mount and -10 line and fittings to piece it together myself. If the Moroso mount starts to leak I can always pony up and get the billet mount but for now I think that I should be good to go. Thanks Guys!!
