did you use the shim?
never use the shim

I removed mine the same night I installed the clutch(what a pain)
did you have any free travel at the top?
I just had a guy remove his shim on Michiganspeed cause his spec 3+ wouldn't hold after about 3000k miles. NOw that its out is seems to be working fine.
I have seen many that with the shim in the clutch doesn't fully engage and as it wears then it starts to slip. An adjustable master won't help if it has a shim and doesn't need it, cause the slave is fully compressed and won't disengage all the way. Many have argued me about this but the don't get that if there is a 2 inch gap between the trans and pressure plate and the slave is 2 1/4 with the shim that an adjustable master won't fix it. It might make the pedal feel like it has free travel but it doesn't fix the real problem

damn! thank you so much for this, it makes sense to me, guess i need to remove that shim, gonna suck doing all that work to remove a dumb shim but hopefully it will save me a ton of money, thanks man ill have to try that.

is yours fiber or steel
we slide my trans back and I held it while BROKEN loosened the slave and pulled it out. Now I think they use steel though

if your pedal engagement was right at the top then removing it will probably help unless its toast
