"Recomendations" for waterside camping --- CLOSE TO EAST SIDE

Mom will be visiting for a few weeks (has an RV) next year and is looking for a nice campground (small RV) that is fairly close to East side area.

I found Algonac State Park which is bordering the St Clair river last weekend. Looked really nice. Any other recommendations? Prefer something on a nice body of water, but either way as long as it's nice and fairly close to Shelby Twp.

Algonac state park is pretty nice and probably your closest option.

I believe Addison Oaks offers what you're looking for. It's at Romeo Rd. and Rochester Rd.

All it has is a little lake.. I think they want something on a big body of water. I was going to suggest Lakeport but it's north of Port Huron a little ways which might be a little too far. :dontknow:

Sure it's definitely smaller, but you don't have to start the morning out getting a whiff of Lake St. Clair either :lol:

Cant camp on the water, and sites are primitive. Also theyre mixed in with the park, its kinda weird.
