I would like to delete the rear seat on my 88 coupe. I have seen a few kits for sale and that could be an option. I just feel like $300 for a piece of sheet metal with a few beads rolled in it is alot. Anyone done this before? if so any tips or ideas. Thanks oh yeah i want it to be somewhat sturdy because i will be mounting 2 10lb no2 bottles where the rear seat was located.

Get some cardboard and make some patterns. Go to a sheetmetal shop and get some aluminum sheets. Have a heating/ cooling place bend it and roll some beads into it. Done.
