alright so i have have this problem that the rear brakes just barely seem to engage at all.

brake system consists of stock master, ssbc adjustable prop valve, aero space street brakes up front with wilwood drag rear discs. has 3/16's lines to both fronts with 1/4 inch out back and split into two 3/16ths to each side.

i have pumped and bled both sides and am not getting any major pressure like it should. you can feel the rear calipers clamp down a little but not enough that you can not still move the rotor by hand.

fronts clamp down great but the rears do not.

any idea's?

Is the prop valve closed? Kinda dumb question I guess but you actually have to screw the valve in all the way to open it.....kinda backwards from what you would expect.

Hey Sean, you might need a residual valve in there. I had to put one on my Camaro and I have a Strange Manual master cylinder, and Strange pro race brakes(disks) on front and rear of my car.

Residual pressure valve is only needed, and should only be used, if the master cylinder is lower then the brakes

What's the bore size on that stock master? Your gonna need at least 1 1/16" for al wheel disc with race style calipers

Is there 4 bleeders in the rear?
Prop all the way open?

yes. and i had it about half way

yeah i had it open, then half way, then close and it didnt seem to change much. finally left it all the way down and got the rest of the car put together and got it so i could start it.. after running for a few they immediately got better then before.. clamping down with a little more force. however still wont clamp super tight..

its just the stock master. not sure the size of it. it has aerospace street brakes up front with race brakes out back tho

Try bottoms and then tops. You want the air out. Or closer to the brake line and then further from the brake line. You want to push the air out not trap it by working the bleeders backwards.

ive tried it every which way.. there is no air coming out.. its all fluid.. they seem to have gotten better.. they are much better now that i got the car started up and could build some vacuum in the brake system
