model 1917 eddystones were world war I era rifles supplied to american expeditionary force soldiers sent to fight in europe late in wwI

this rifle was converted to a sporter a loooong time ago i would guess in the 1940's but i really dont know. it has a custom stock, williams side scope mount, really old but functional weaver scope(check out the leather scope caps in the pic when was the last time you have seen that!) and it also has what appears to be the original wwI era leather sling. this is the rifle your grandfather hunted with

i know im going to regret selling this $320 located in redford or dearborn hts

i purchased it at an estate sale so i dont know, i have never fired it. i cleaned it yesterday and the barrel looks good, bolt operates fine so there shouldnt be any problems. eddystones are known for having sturdy parts
