86 GT, all stock with exhaust. i was only able to get a 14.3 @ 97... but when i get some tires, things will change. I was hitting 2.3 - 2.4 60fts all day. it was fun as hell though!

Cool. I haven't been to lapeer (or any other track) in a while. Havin' fun is why we do this! I can't wait to get my car to the track this year.

i know its so fun. i have more fun with my daily drivers than my race cars. its nice being able to drive all the way up there, race all day, then drive home and just park it :)

I ran the exact same number last year with my 86 (14.3). I had 1.8 short times on drag radials though, and I had to granny 3rd. I ran mine in an as bought condition meaning no tune up, no advancing the timing, not shit, just signed the check, got plates and insurance and drove it there. The car had 3.73s, headers, pulleys and a shifter, not much else. I see im not as slow as I thought.

That brings back some good memmories, i love the rush when your at the line getting ready to launch....shifter in hand revin up the engine...

Someday i will be there again, thanks for the vid!

ran the car again on sat. kimkim let me borrow her drag radials. got a 14.02 @ 98. track conditions were really shitty and it was basically sprinkling all day. best 60' was still over 2.0 sec. 13s on the stock E6 motor for sure!... next time

you will never 60 good at lapeer with their lack of prep and "speed bumps."

its a great place to practice though - i plan on going in august.
