I'm cleaning up the paint on my 73 Chrysler wagon, it's original, acrylic enamel. Not lacquer. Anyways, I'm using a 3m white waffle pad & perfect-it EX rubbing compound. It loads the pad up almost instantly. I've never really messed with old single stage paint, only new urethane stuff & base/clear. Should I use some kind of lubricant? The paint cleans up excellent, but the pad constantly loading up is a huge PITA. I'm pretty sure it's because the paint is oxidized. It's metallic. Thanks
