I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel. The Truck at some point was convert to the Intank lift pump. It is starting to Fail. I have new External old Style pump. Will that pump pull thru the one on the Tank or am I going to need to drop the tank and Remove it?

Thanks

Drop the tank and remove it. It will not pull through it.

FASS fuel pump setup

I resolved this issue with a FASS pump. I will attach some pictures so you get a rough idea of the setup. Here are the basics.

- Drop tank and remove stock pump assembly (leave sending pins connected)
- Drill hole and install FASS pickup tube assembly
- Re-assemble
- 1/2" Fuel line to new filter assembly (suction side filtration for optimum water seperation)
- 1/2" Fuel line to FASS 90 GPH pump (mounted to the backside of the filter bracket)
- 3/8" Fuel line to filter module on engine
- Remove filter from OEM module and pitch, put the cap back on and let her rip

The FASS pump has gauge ports for the suction and pressure sides of the pump. Great for putting a gauge inside the cab.

The pump/pickup tube assembly was a little pricey ~$425 if I remember correctly. We build the filters so that was free, and we fabbed the mount up for it.

Let me know if you need any help with primary diesel fuel filtration, I should be able to help.

thats a nice looking setup

how much does it run if i might ask?
