quality halloween costumes

technically i suppose but they are lacking greatly in selection.... i drove out there a while back and they do have a few to rent from $30-$60 but most of them are older more classical designs from macbeth or the occasional mascot style like scuby doo or a teddy bear. no cool or sexy costumes, more kid oriented.

What are you looking for, Jeff?

And are you ever going to change that sig? The novelty has worn off.

Jeff..15 mile and gratiot. Where the star theatre is. Theres 2 halloween stores there that rent out real costumes. Have to put down like a 100-200$ deposit.

The best holloween costumes are homemade. At least in my experiance. Original ideas usually end up being the coolest costumes.

flasher dude with a huge dildo

go as a black lady

simple stuff that varies from your normal character...

my plan is to make a cardboard fridge and go as a fridge full of beer. l
 Not bad. Very inexpensive. You could make a swing open door and have the sides of beer cases glued inside of the door so that it looks like a bunch of cases stacked in a fridge. :D

yep, some cardboard, glue and empty beer cases and white spray paint, and i am all set. i'll keep it under 10 bucks if i am lucky

i'm not sure to be honest Al, i suppose i'll know it when i see it but i'm just trying to find more realistic costumes. for example lets say if you want to be a police officer or a airline pilot the costumes you find are often made of extremely cheap material that don't look very realistic. i suppose it's for good reason but i have to assume some place rents costumes that look realistic.

as far as the sig... lol yeah i guess it's been long enough huh.

:D

really? i've seen the stores like halloween usa and the rest but everytime i go they just seem to have the cheaper costumes. i'll have to check it out. it isn't that i want to spend alot but i want the costumes to look realistic. i have several halloween parties to go to that have great cash prizes and it's always a better chance with something more real. 1-200 isn't hard to pay for if you get the right costume and win a contest or two.

the last two years i made up my own and we've won some really nice prizes. i don't have the time to make one this year so i'd like to just rent one.

thanks cory.

i agree... i just would like to see what's out there if there is a place that does. last year a guy had a preditor suit that he rented for $700. outrageous yes but it was awesome and he won several thousand going to various places. i'm not looking to do that but i would like something wild or at least realistic.

my buddy for example is taking a bunch of viagra and painting "it" blue... while it isn't something i would do i'm sure he'll get laughed at plenty.

a friend did that last year... making it out of lighter wood. the costume was pretty heavy after he put a 24 pack in there. it was interesting to see for sure.
