i was wondering, when does your time start running durning a run? is it when the light turns green, or is it when you move?

for example, if i was to run a 12.34, but my reaction time was a .6543, could i improve my et solely on haveing a better reaction time?

and my question about the lights, is which is which? i know like the normal light, is just whenever you leave, and a .500 light is you cant leave before .500 of a second. what are those kinda lights called. i've heard of a sportsmans light or something along those lines, but not sure which is what, or what is where.

well, i was just useing those times as a example.

the times i have in question were a bit slower.

we'll call it a
.6509 reaction
2.0591 sixty foot
5.5759 330 foot
8.5091 1/8th
84.24 1/8th mph
11.0310 1000 ft
96.55 1000ft
13.17 1/4
105.42 1/4 mph

the reason im even asking is cause the kid infront of me went 12.9 at 104mph, but he had a .1 something reaction. he was running in a s-10 truck on some cheapo dayton street tires, and i wanna say his 60 foot time was even comparable to mine. im trying to figure out how he went faster then me. my time slip looked better then his in everyhting except his times. i was higher mph everywhere, tho not by much, but they were faster the whole way, but his times were all lower then mine.
its like he got a head start.

another thing, 104 is slow for a 12.9 i thought.
just looking for reasons on how he went faster then me, thats all. unfortinatly i dont have his slip, he was the race right before me, we didnt actually race, but talked during the other two lanes running during test and tune on wednesday.

The ET clock does not even start once you move.....it starts once the front tires have rolled past the second staging beam. If you shallow stage you can get a cunt hair of a rolling start before the ET clocks start to time you.

huh.... well, maybe i was just thinkn i was seeing something else then, im just confused about the whole thing. the more i think about it, the more im thinking maybe i looked at both sides of his slip he had, and just combined the two runs or something.
ah, whatever.

thanks everyone for the responses tho.
