putting a 289 non running motor away

I have a 289 that needs rings and a couple other things , but i will not get to it untill spring.any suggetions on what is the proper way to store it .should i fill the cilinders with oil or gear lube don't know the answer,hope someone can help.thank you in advance.
 
Fogging oil in the cyls. Spin it over by hand once in a while and re oil the cyls when you do. If you really feel froggy you can pull the pushrods, but I never do. Hell, I don't do anything. I just let it sit. Its in a heated garage tho.
