pros/cons 331 vs 347 vs 393 vs 408

Going in a '95 mustang, street driven 90% of the time. average maybe 2-3000 miles/years. needs to be streetable and dependable.

TFS twisted wedge heads, with some work done to them.

cam? haven't decided yet. (stall haven't decided on cam yet).

Have a nitrous kit, might throw it on the motor and use it occasionally.

Thoughts?

There really isn't a con to any of them engine sizes with the TFS head other than the block strength. Windsor block is much stronger in stock form compared to the 302 based. More torque in the 393-408 compared to the 331-347. You really can't go wrong with a TFS Camshaft, stage 2 or 3. Comp makes some pretty good off the shelf nitrous grinds.

My personal opinion would be 408, flat top pistons, this comp cam (http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/cam-specs/Details.aspx?csid=1064&sb=2) victor jr intake and a 850 carb. Run on pump gas and with the right tuning and depending on your converter and nitrous hit, I would expect it to run 9's with ease.

I like the 331 or the 393. the shorter stroke of the stroker kits is easier on the cyl walls and you are less likely to egg shape the cyl after hard use.
