Project Crew Cab

Just picked this up over the weekend. It's a 92 F350 crew cab long bed IDI diesel. I picked up a complete 7.3L Powerstroke drivetrain that will be going in it. The previous owner stripped down the whole truck, sand blasted the frame and coated it. Then his wife blew out her hip so it was put off to the side and not finished. With the truck came all new bolts and brackets from Ford an extra tailgate and an extra set of front bucket seats. I have wanted one of these trucks for a long time and now I finally got one, and for only $2000 :wow:

It Is like docking a battleship . Lets say you wonr be parking In the front row at wal mart.

Hell no, besides I don't want to cause an accident at the Wal-Mart from all the hillbillys staring at it.

Sexy!!! I need to find the same damn truck just the dually version! 6.4 swap and away we go!

I'll keep an eye out for one. Do you want those diesel adapter plates for the motor mounts? I have an extra set.

Well I have made some progress these last couple of weeks. I got the motor all cleaned up and all new gaskets and seals installed. Painted the engine and put all the accessories back on. Cleaned up the transmission and bolted it back up to the block. On the truck side I got the cab bolted back down, fuel lines installed, wiring harness ran and started on the brake lines. Last night was a big day. I dropped the motor and trans in and that's when I remembered the truck was a manual and the x-member was not going to work. Here are some pictures of my progress.

Ready for teardown

This I thought was cool. It's a Ford kit to fix the broken mounting ear on the passanger side of the dash.

All leaks are fixed now. I have been driving it for a few days now. I had an issue with the brake pedal going to the floor and not coming back up and the brakes were terrible. Turned out that my brake booster was shot and there was some debri lodged in the check valve of my vacuum pump. a new booster and cleaning out the vacuum pump made a huge difference. Now I have what seems to be a sligh miss going on. Also the engine starts to buck/cutout at high RPM for some reason. Truck seems like it has power but not as much as I thought it would have. Still looking into it.

Here are some current pics and even a video.
