Project "Cheapskate"

I've been working on this phase of the car since April of last year. I don't have a ton of money to throw at it, and I don't have the talent that a lot of people around here have. I also didn't want this to become a "perpetual project". The whole point of this was to be able to drive it once in a while!! Here's where I'm at to this point:

Still have to finish the wiring for the sub woofer and put the interior together, then get the A/C working. I know, I know!! Who needs an interior and A/C... Short answer: Me and the wife!! I want her nice and comfy in there!

Like either one of you two knuckleheads would actually come over!! You'll probably see it out and about town this week.
Just need to put the stereo in and finish the interior and A/C.
Seriously, come over any time guys.

Work has been crazy man. Let me know if your gonna be home Monday night.

Thanks. Been a while since you've seen it! I just need to get the audio system done and put the interior back together.

Nice looking ride, I had a passion for those wheels on anything for some reason lol. Hard to tell from the pics but I would be willing to bet a really good buff job would bring that paint back to life.

Yeah I HOPE I can bring that paint back!! It was a 12 footer when the previous owner had it done in '09. Looks like they got way ahead of themselves and tried to wax it before it was ready. Now the underside looks better than the top!!

Cobra comes home from paint next weekend....still waiting on the trans for my 87GT. Bought a new house but my barn isn't set up properly yet.

Is that chassis saver on the underbody/engine bay ? sprayed on or brushed on ?

Looks clean !

It's Shopline single-stage Urethane over DP90. Sprayed on. I'm seriously thinking about some bedliner on the critical areas on the bottom. I'll see how it holds up.
