Hey guys,

I'm back! I just recently had an issue with my 02 WS6. It seems she doesn't want to rev or accelerate above 2,000 RPM. I can't even push the petal to the floor. If it does some how rev up it back fires a few times and then won't let me rev up again. Felt like she was running a little rough too. After about 20 minutes of running rough I was able to drive it home with no problems. Until I tried to start it up again. Then the it started again.

Someone suggestion an ignition wire to me. Whats it sound like to you guys?

sounds like a fuel problem, check your fp at the rails and see if it drops.

I'm sure Sean will chime in, he's pretty familiar with LS1's

"I can't even push the petal to the floor."

Would sound like something is not hooked up correctly or is binding.
Can you turn the throttle by hand under the hood, does it bind? Does it turn further than the pedal does? When you turn it by hand does it still show the symptoms you said earlier?

I opened the hood and couldn't get the engine to rev any higher by turned the throttle. I couldn't even push the gas pedal to the floor. HUGE resistance. Maybe something wrong with the cable or something caught in the TB?

Only one way to find out :buds: and start lookin at what the cable could be caught on or take the air cleaner off and look at the throttle body.

I've had wiring work it's way up toward the pedal before or something could be caught near the throttle linkage.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to snap a picture of what you are looking at so we know as well (linkage/TB)

Does the car have ASR ???

I think what he meant was he can't push the pedal to the floor cuz it cuts out and backfires not that the cable is binding. (unless i read it wrong)

I had a similar problem with my 96 Z28 and it turned out to be a short under the dash burning up the Ignition Control module.

this is what he said on another site

I psychically cannot push the pedal to the floor. I even opened the hood and tried to rev it with the throttle and it wouldn't go any farther.

well, if the car is in ann arbor, I was going to offer to head out there are look at it, but he doesn't seem to want to come on here
