so where does everyone preorder their games from? i usually go to gamestop but it seems like there could be better deals out there. like i thought i saw at target you get a $5 gift card for preordering or something. i really want to preorder elder scrolls 5 and star wars the old republic!!

amazon does regularly give $20 gift cards for pre-ordering.

I use Amazon or Best Buy regularly.

I preorder from gamestop for the trade-in bonuses with my rewards card. I usually have a game or two to trade in so it's less cash I have to spend.

Best buy does the same thing as GameStop and it comes with better rewards and bonus percentages on trade-ins.

Not sure if this is true but Gamestop is the only one I found that doesnt charge you until the game ships. Atleast I was going to Preorder MW3 from best buy but didnt feel like dropping $100 on something that Im going to wait a month for.

I was thinking about pre ordering assassins creed: Revelations but wasn't sure where to do it from. At Gamestop how much do they usually give per game on a trade in?

depends on the game. Each retailer at different times has different payouts and pre-order benefits. If you pre-ordered Madden 12, you got a $20 gift card from Amazon, but not for any other game. With Best Buy, if you pre-order 5 games, you get $100 gift card.

When it comes to trade in, if you're after cash, no place pays well. Amazon and Best Buy (If you're part of their gamers club) pay the best if you're after store credit.

ooh great point! i love being able to put $10 here and there towards the game instead of blowing $60 at once.

Steam.......they always have discounts for package preorders. Like $49 each or 4 for $160.

I don't think Hourang is talking PC gaming. THough he could be I suppose. PC gaming for the most part is a dead field. Yes people still do it, but the number of people wanting to build a new rig to keep up on current games as opposed to playing it on their HDTV is shrinking greatly.
