pontiac g5 help

girlfriends car is a 2009 Pontiac g5 gt , its been running and driving perfect , her check engine light popped on thow and its a code p0013 , witch is normally the VVT actuator on the exhaust side , super easy 2 min fix , did not fix the issue thow , so I said screw it and replaced the cam position sensor on the exhaust side , still didn't fix it , now im reading on a g5 forum that there is cases of a oil control valve failing , I cant for the life of me find a part or # or even a picture of ware the part is , really want this fixed because with the CEL on she cant use her remote start ..... any ideas ? any way to reset the codes without a scanner ? really tired of going to auto zone lol

Did you change the oil?
i believe the chain tensioner can also cause the code

oil was plenty clean and no it was not low ,., they say change the timing chain at 100k , shes got about 90k on it so so ill be changing the chain and all other related parts this spring
