pick my new intake for my 355!

i got a 67 camaro and I'm just done with trying to tune the dual holleys and high rise intake on it. I want to put a new intake on it but thought I would ask here first to hear some opinions

355
10:1 compression
67-69 302 iron heads 2.02/1.6 valves
larger hyd flat cam (only pulls 10" vac at idle) and roller rockers
automatic with 2500 stall
3.55 gear
long tube headers w/ flowmaster exhaust

I got either a holley 3310 (750 vac secondary) carb or a speed demon 750 double pumper carb to choose from for it.

so what intake and carb should I pick to run?

edelbrock vic jr with 750 doubble(stick)or 750 vac(auto)

Aaaaaahhhh, the stubborn young lad comes around at last!
Seriously, I would stick an Edelbrock Performer RPM and a Holley 750 vac
secondary on there. It will run sweet.

X2 also on the RPM and I wish I would have opted for the Air Gap but just have the basic RPM. I am running a 850 Quickfuel carb (manual secondary)with an auto and honestly could not be happier with it

look for one off the milan site first. You can get either of those two on the cheap. Everyone makes the mistake of puttin vic jr's on everything.good luck. Go with a Demon carb too I heard they are really nice and I personally am done fucking with holleys

Fuck Demon carbs!

Stay away from that junk.
I'd go Holley all day long over a Demon.

Demon's are so bitchin' half of the speed shops stopped carrying them.
I "heard" they fucking suck.

X2...but,
I had the same set up on the Red 69 and the 750 was too big of carb, soon as the secondaries kicked in, the motor fell on it's face....I found a 650 with mech. 2nds and it kicked ass.

Dual plane air gap. with a 650 cfm vac secondary. It run kickass and its plenty of carb for what your doing.Run the AFB style edelbrock. easy to tune.

100% correct.....All 3 Camaros have 355's and I tried on all 3 with 750's....same results with all....the Black 69 ran OK with it, but it's a 4 speed manual....The Cutlass has a 350 punched with a 750 but it has the Cam 500/500-rear gear 3.72-3000 stall... to handle it.

I can't disagree with the 650 either. Most people put the 750 on because they're cheap and plentiful, and there's room for further h.p. growth.

I have squeezed low 11's out of a 650 AFB style carb. they flow pretty good actually.

Here are the part # i recomend

I though that carb was a 650cfm for some reason. Its actually a 600 but still plenty large. ASA guys get 600hp out of this size carb so it shouldn't hold ya back.

S/B Chevy 1957-86 Performer Air-Gap with Performer 600 cfm carb20224

thats the Edelbrock P# for the carb and manifold Kit.
