Anyone here making the jump from free to the $400 annual fee for 3rd party image hosting?

I ran across a thread on a different forum and people are losing their shit.

F Photobucket, i'll switch to another hosting site like flickr or the such. I see Photobucket taking a bath on this deal and losing a ton of traffic.

amazon hosting seems to be the next wave for image linking. Most that have amazon also have prime as well, using that with bucket explorer can make it work.

I used Photobucket for many years, then a little over a year ago
Photobucket got horrible!!!

I have been using Imgur (free) since & it works great.

Some Imgur's uploads...

I just went thru some of the threads in the photo forum and there are a ton of missing photos.

If the members who posted those don't pay the $400 PB fee those photos all have to be re-added or remain a broken link. Think about all of the forums on the web that will now have missing photos due to this. As someone posted in another forum, "PB found a way to break the internet..."

I just spent the last hour saving a few photos and
deleting hundreds of photos from PB. My internet
crashed every 2 mins or so trying to do it!!!!

I hate that site, will not be going back again after
tonight.

Test.

Hmmmm. No issue for me for some reason. I have their Plus20 plan. If/when they pull 3rd party I find a new host. If another hosting company was smart they would creativity capitalize on this and take it to the bank.

I can't even get on there right now to get my pictures off it.

This was the problem I was having last night!

I kept at it & got in, it continued to crash every
few mins. I copied a few photos & then deleted
everything I had on PB - I won't be ever going
back or use PB ever again.

The only reason to use Photobucket was 3rd party hosting. I deleted everything including the account. I had used them since 2006.

Looks like I'm going to be busy saving files tonight!

They have been nearly impossible to access on my phone the last year or so. I've just been too lazy to switch to somewhere else.
