Patriot Performance BBC heads

Lots of great quality heads out there for a smidgen more money. I'd say resist the temptation to go cheap and save a few more dollars.

Thanks. I supposed i should have been more specific on the motor and its use. Its going to be a 496 street motor. Im looking at a oval port or small rectangular port head. Probably going to use a hydraulic roller. Id like to use a stock exhaust port location to keep header fitment. Probably going in a nova or chevelle chassis. I know the raised exhaust ports cause header issues in nova's not sure about chevelles though. Any experience here?

Drop through some classifieds. Lots of good used ported hard running BBC ovals out there. For a 496 with a hydrualic roller. I'd look into some ported Edelbrocks. Usually cheap and they make great power under the curve. Small rectangles will want to make power in the band where the hydrualic lifter are going to start being questionable.

The Canfield heads would suite you perfect. There good castings that make pretty good power and priced right around what the patriot heads are. I have a pair sitting at my house for my engine if i ever get around to doing it.

The heads Jegs sells under there own name are canfields there 1600 for the pair.

Only downside to the Canfields is the exhaust port is raised about 5/8" of an inch so header fitment could be some trouble
