Passport to get to Canada?

I remember that it was talked about that you HAD to have a passport. But then heard if you had one of the new licenses that you were good to go.

Anyone go back and forth regularly? I plan to take my gf there for a concert at the Windsor casino. So it would be a there and back trip, no over night.
 
I work two weeks out of the month in Canada

I would highly suggest your have it
It really depends if you get a dick at the border you can be detained for 2.5 hours for NOTHING

Passport required if traveling by air, otherwise the enhanced license is fine. My wife and I use ours with no problems.

Enhanced license here too. I have passports for my wife/kids though. Renewal for the enhanced license will take longer as it has to go through the same screening process as applying for a passport.

i have the license too....no problems ever.....i remember when i was 19 on my way back the next morning from the strip....guy asked if i had anything to declare....i was like i got this muffin i took from the hotel because im hung over...he just laughed and said go on through.
 
They have what they call a passport card instead of the book, 10 year expiration and slightly more then an enhanced ID at 3 year expiration.
