I'm sure my girl will want to see it. The first was decent enough but I didn't like the ending. Too typical and ruined the 'realness' of the whole thing for me.

The alternate ending is much better, although less scary. I think it was the "original" ending before they "jazzed it up" for the big screen.

I'm not sure how this is going to work, though...the original movie was somewhat innovative, but if they do it wrong this sequel could seem like a cheap copy.

I remember that, the "original" ending was much better and keeps the realistic tone of the movie. I also agree that the sequel could go either way.

I was let down with the first one, only because the media hype and everyone talking about how they were scared to sleep at night......wtf? Otherwise I enjoyed the idea. That said, I'll probably give this one a chance. Notice how in the preview they are playing the heart strings. 1. Your Dog is supposed to protect you. 2. They put a child in the crib. They're definitely toying with something that everyone should feel; safety in their home. I hope the preview isn't the scariest part.
