Thank god for roll cages. He was OK.
 
Yup I saw him at the hospital. My buddy crashed my dirtbike off that same jump maybe an hour later.
 
11 staples to his head I heard. Coulda been a bit less painful had he been wearing a helmet and using a harness. Safety is important when going for air time...

Agreed. The cage sure did it's job though. Without that, lord only knows how much worse it could have been!
 
Glad to hear he's alright. Even with a cage an accident like that can be deadly when lacking a helmet.

Was it just hitting the dune at a slight angle or off center that caused the crash?
 
It'll take as long to get the dents out of the body as it does the sand out of everything else on the truck.
 
Was the guys name Wayne? My friends said he rolled his truck and cracked his head good over the weekend. One of my friends is paralyzed from the waste down after jumping a hill there 6 years ago on a quad.
 
wayne was in the passager seat..jake was driving and who built the truck..wayne was sore..and banged up but didnt go to the hospital...jake did go to hosital for 11 staples..which he belives was from the glass breakin..thankfull he just finish puttin the cage in ..i dont even wanna think about what would have happened with out all the cage

buddy of mine got another view of the wreck and got the quad one also..hes suppost to post them up tonite soo as soon as he does..il post it up over here too
 
i guess there was another truck that rolled on the backside of test..but had it up and running as was on the dunes the rest of the weekend lifted white chevy i belive

i also heard a lady landed really hard on the last hill or something and broke her back in a buggy :jawdrop2: but havent heard much else then that about what happened

never saw or heard about the heli coming in to pick anyone up..soo thats a positive
 
SSATURDAY NIGHT right around dusk.. two ambulances rolled through and then about 15 minutes later tore outta there. No idea what happened.
