well i for sure need a new battery. drove the car today and it only went about 1000 feet before it died. for the people that were gonna try and help me out with a discount, could you please check? i am for sure gonna pick one up this friday when i get paid. also, anyone got any brake parts hookups? i need pads and rotors for a 88 honda civic hatch. thanks guys, bill.

yeah i am gonna replace that too. i think thats the culpret, but if you saw the shape this battery is in you'd understand. the battery light is on, but the honda battery is smaller then a motorcycle's and i wanta up it so i'll never have to worry about charging/starting issues.

I have an optima red top that I used in my old jeep for about 9 months. It is sitting in my garage. I will let it go for $25 if you want it. I am in Royal Oak

yes sounds like the Alternator. A battery is just for starting the engine once running the Alternator takes over and keeps everything charged. One its started and you remove the battery from the system and the engine dies the Alternator or votage reg is most likey the problem. You can also test this using a DVOM and look at how many volts are at the battery with the engine stopped and running.

Most parts stores will test the batt & alternator usually while they're still on the car. I know Autozone does.

Bill, did those cars had the rotors that you had to remove the hub to get off? if so, sorry. Those suck ass.

i dont know yet. havent even taken the wheels off it yet. nbfrc, how many cold cranking amps is your red top? if its gonna be that bad, i'll just have a brake shop do them or something. its not that i cant do them, i just dont feel like taking the time.
