So here's my notch project, 4 years in the making on a shoestring budget. Body is mostly done just needs touching up, next step is glass and interior.
Since i bought this car i've been dead set on using the older style quarter windows/louvers/moldings/mirrors, but there's one big issue with that: the old glass is junk and i can't find ANY in good shape for less than $300/side.
Couple ways i can fix this: i can find a way to restore the old glass... both sides have some surface scratches from a razor blade and normal 25 years worth of road wear. I dont know of any way to polish it, or if limo tinting will hide the imperfections. I find this preferable since i don't have to change anything and i get to keep the classic look.
Other way is obvious, pull some newer coupe quarter windows and upper door frame moldings and install them, but i'm not sure they'd fit the look of the car, and i'd have to pay Beau even more money to fit the door belt moldings BACK on those doors. maybe i could get a photoshop edit form somebody to get an idea for looks?
all opinions/suggestions welcome!
