This time around we’ve got Austin Gerding’s ’87 Camaro. Austin is an engineer and the work on this 3rd-gen F-body reflects it. It’s fully caged and sports an all-aluminum 5.3L he salvaged from a truck. The suspension is custom, the brakes are from a C5 Corvette, and the spur-cut gears on the Jerico 4-speed allow for clutchless upshifting, which he does on the autocross course and on the race track. So what do you think of his lightweight, street-legal race car?

I followed Austin around the roadcourse at GingerMan a few weeks ago and the car definitely get around the track quickly. It doesn't just look good, it has the power and handling to back it up.
