Oil use reducer

Is there any type of product that reduces or stops oil use that actually works. I haven't used any yet but i looked at some at stores and wanted to know what works.

To be honest i dont know how its using it, all i know is that it only uses it at idle.
 
drain a quart of oil, add a quart of transmission fluid, drive it for an hour, then drain the oil and refill with fresh stuff and a new filter, try the higher mileage oil too, if that doesnt work, its too far gone. the trans fluid swells up the valve seats some and will usually seal em back up if theyre not too bad. how much oil are you losing?
 
When i go to change my oil i am able to fill 3/4 of a water jug. It also smells like gas is mixed with it. Does that trans fluid method actually work?

well usually if it smells like gas, then your rings are worn as well, which is allowing oil to mix with the gas in the cylinders. Toss a can of that restore stuff in after your oil change and see if it helps. ive heard that stuff works decently
 
If your burning that much oil... Rebuild...

Trans fluid will swell up the seals but in time will start making them rip/tear/bust....
